With the advent season upon us, and the hope it brings, comes additional reminders that we live in a world that has sickness and disease. Simple measures you can do to help your immune system fight for your health.
Getting enough rest
Enjoying the sun (try to get 20 min of sunlight per day on your skin)
Staying hydrated
Decreasing stress
Keeping your hands clean and never eating with them (for hand held foods like sandwiches, etc…i even use a napkin or cut it up and eat with a fork); keeping your hands out of your face/eyes/nose/mouth
Supplements: Echinacea, Elderberry, Vitamin C (especially if you already feel a cold/flu coming)
Cough: Local honey and lemon is research proven better than cough medicine (reminder: no honey for a child <1 years old)
